A slicing knife is the perfect tool for creating thin, even, and beautifully presented slices of meat. Its long, narrow blade is specifically designed for slicing and portioning both raw and cooked meat, as well as fish. The slim blade profile reduces the contact area with the food, allowing for smoother, more effortless cuts. Its razor-sharp edge glides cleanly through ingredients, producing long, precise slices while helping to preserve the meat's natural juices, texture, and flavour.

The SHUN CLASSIC series features a blade with a core made from VG-MAX steel – an exceptionally hard stainless steel with a hardness of 61 HRC. The core is clad with 32 layers of Damascus steel, providing outstanding strength while maintaining both hardness and flexibility. The forging process involves layering and forging multiple sheets of steel together, creating a distinctive wood-grain pattern. As a result, every knife has a unique blade design. SHUN CLASSIC blades are double-bevel sharpened.

The SHUN CLASSIC handle is crafted from durable Pakkawood – a composite material made from wood and resin that offers excellent resistance to moisture. Its ergonomic shape ensures a comfortable and secure grip, while the full tang construction provides exceptional balance and stability during use.
