The polished blades of the WASABI BLACK series are made from 6A/1K6 stainless steel, an advanced high-chromium alloy developed for exceptional corrosion resistance. Its increased carbon content helps the blade retain its sharp edge for longer. The steel has a hardness of 58 (±1) HRC. Depending on the model, the series includes both double-bevel and traditional Japanese single-bevel blades.

The matte black handle is made from water-resistant polypropylene blended with bamboo powder, providing a comfortable, secure grip and a pleasant natural feel in the hand.
